What's it all about?

I began my journey with energy about 10 years ago in a T'ai Chi class.  I progressed to Chi Gong and Yoga, to Reiki, Healing Touch and Akashic Records, and then I went beyond them all.  I am still learning and seeking, but I came to realize that no matter what you call what we do, it all boils down to the same thing... working with energy.  I felt limited by the traditional expressions of energy working:  the table, the classroom, the formal occasions... it just wasn't enough.  I wanted to work with energy all day long and in any way that I could.  It is a way of living, connected and aware.

This blog is about sharing our experiences as energy workers outside of the traditional venues.  I use the term 'guerilla' for a specific reason.  What we are doing is not visible, not recognized, and not publicized.  We work by offering energy to people, to situations, to the earth and to the universe.  And we do it as often and as constantly as we can.  Any energy that is not used as intended is sent freely into the ether to help whomever/whatever that needs it.  We are out in the community but not really out in the open.

Please share your experiences and techniques but don't mention people's names or real place names.  All energy working modalities and traditions are welcome.

Let's get out there and change the world!

Tuesday Night

Tuesday night was my first public presentation of the principles and ideas of guerilla energy working. It was smashing! I had carefully nurtured my energy all day. I was calm, peaceful even, and still able to be passionate about what I wanted to share:  my spiritual journey, the effects of energy on my life and how all my experiences have propelled me to energy activism and guerilla energy working.

When I've spoken in front of audiences before for business events, I would shut down mentally. I’d detached myself from the situation, mostly out of fear. Though I was standing, talking and answering questions, later I would have no idea what I said or how I said it. I’d ‘wake up’ when the event was over, exhausted from trying to protect myself and from trying to energetically control the room.

That is not what happened Tuesday. The group was made up of mostly Reiki practioners and they welcomed me and my ideas whole-heartedly.  Everyone’s energy surrounded me as soon as I started talking. It wasn’t just their smiles and head-nods; they continually fed me the positive energy of their thoughts and feelings. All evening I felt flooded with goodwill and good wishes so I was able to stay ‘present’ the entire time. I actually remember what happened! When we created the bubbles of harmony around ourselves, I could see/feel the pulse of each person's heart and soul. It was so beautiful I can’t find the words to describe it.

I am eagerly anticipating the stories of the groups' guerilla energy working experiences.  I want to share them with you here. I hope soon there will be a community of energy activists making our world and our universe a better, more harmonious place through the guerilla gifting of energy all day every day. Thanks for your support. Kim.

Energy is a funny thing…

I have been in a bit of a slump recently. Some say it is the weather, and we have had an enormous number of rainy, cold days. Some say it the global energetic affect of the tragedy in Haiti.  But I think the real cause is people. I am around a lot of anxious, worried people… not just friends and family, but the people shopping with me in the stores, driving beside me on the roads, their voices ringing in my ears from TV and radio.  They are everywhere and there is an aura of fear and unease around most of them. It is permeating the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat. There is a cloud of this stuff hovering over all of us.

So what do we do? That is the easy part… just blow it away. You can do that with a positive thought or a gale force wind. The hard part is to remember to do it! You have to reactivate and reinforce the cleansing wind when you get up in the morning, throughout the day and before you sleep at night. This cloud of fear is insidious and highly infectious. All your good intentions for the day can get siphoned away one tiny drop at a time. You don’t notice it happening because it is so slow and steady. You just feel the effects in the bowing of your shoulders and the weight that drags at your feet.  If your conversations with others turn to fear, give loving energy in return.  Remember that the light of a smile is a ray of sunshine in the darkness of despair; a laugh is an open window of fresh air. Taking pleasure in each other’s company is a hidden hug of support for those around you.

We can’t solve the issues of unemployment or eliminate the energetic effects of a global catastrophe like Haiti. But a shared load is a lighter load. Share your loving energy with those around you, friends and strangers, with the earth and the universe.  All giving brings in gifts… just like sunshine diamonds on rippling water. Let the sunshine in your soul shine out in these days of such great need.
